Hearing of the case in which the Attorney General wants court to declare FDC and their former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye’s defiance
ance campaign illegal has flopped due to absence of some judges required to constitute the quorum.
The Deputy Attorney General, Mwesigwa Rukutana said only three judges of the five were present.
Hearing of case has thus been adjourned to June 23.
The judges who will hear and determine the case are: Deputy Chief justice Steven Kavuuma, Richard Buteera, Elizabeth Musoke, Catherine Bamugemereire and Cheborion Barishaki.
In his petition, Attorney General wants court to permanently ban FDC defiance campaign activities including weekly prayers, demonstration and making continued demands for an international audit into the 2016 presidential election results.
